ALBAWABA In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that shook Morocco last Friday, one heart-wrenching story emerged, shedding light on the tragedy that befell the Nasser family.
Ibrahim Nasser, a Moroccan father, recounted the harrowing final moments of his son Suleiman's life as he tragically lost his life under the rubble of their home.
The media report explained that just hours before the earthquake occurred, the father asked his son Suleiman, who was 7 years old, to go to his room to sleep.
However, as soon as the child fell asleep, the walls of the house collapsed on his body due to the earthquake, and he passed away instantly while on his bed amidst the debris.
Suleiman's younger brother revealed his sibling's premonition of his own death, saying while in tears: "In the last time he played with our younger brother, he fell silent for a moment and said, 'There will come a day when you will cry for my loss.'"
His father, Ibrahim Nasser, added: "After the earthquake and the collapse of the house wall, I went to Suleiman and felt that the child was not breathing and not moving.
He went on to explain: "That small hole in the wall of the house was the only way out for Suleiman's siblings and the rest of his family to escape, leaving behind their home, which had turned into rubble."
He added: "The suffering is immense, but Alhamdulillah, as God has blessed us before, He will bless us again, and perhaps even more than before."
