ALBAWABA - The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has issued key guidelines that are mandatory for pilgrims from the UAE who are embarking on the Hajj pilgrimage this year.

Gulf News reports that these guidelines outline specific rules and precautionary measures that must be adhered to by the pilgrims during their pilgrimage. One of the key guidelines pertains to vaccination requirements, in addition to various other regulations, including:

Visiting a doctor for a thorough health assessment and seeking their guidance on any necessary medication, particularly for chronic conditions that require regular treatment. It is essential to consult a healthcare professional before taking any medications.

Obtaining a comprehensive medical report that outlines your medical conditions, prescribed medications, and their respective dosages. This report will serve as a valuable reference in case you require medical assistance during your travels.

Carrying a well-equipped medical kit that includes items such as hand sanitizers, wound disinfection tools, fever medication, pain relievers, and creams for burns and allergies. These essentials will help you handle minor health issues effectively.

Ensuring that pilgrims’ personal bags are equipped with vital hygiene items, including towels and a toothbrush, to maintain proper personal care and cleanliness throughout their pilgrimage journey.

It is noteworthy that the ministry has launched the 'Safe Healthy Hajj' awareness campaign in collaboration with various health departments and authorities in the UAE. The initiative includes services such as hotlines to address health-related queries, coordination with medical teams accompanying the pilgrims, provision of necessary medications, and medical consultations. This comprehensive effort reflects the UAE's commitment to ensuring pilgrims can perform their rituals in a safe and healthy environment.
