A man, reportedly 25 years old, unleashed a devastating act of violence, resulting in the deaths of 12 of his family members and injuring three others.
The shocking event took place at 04:30 a.m. local time in Faryab County. According to Kerman's Police Commander Nasser Farshid, the armed assailant targeted his two stepbrothers and their families across two houses, unleashing gunfire that claimed multiple lives.
Authorities cited family disputes as the underlying motive behind the shooter's actions. In response, a widespread manhunt has been initiated to locate and apprehend the perpetrator responsible for this heinous crime.
Ebrahim Hamidi, the head of Kerman's Justice Department, revealed that the assailant utilized a Kalashnikov rifle during the attack, which claimed the lives of several family members, including his own father, as reported by the official news agency IRNA.
