ALBAWABA Dutch researcher  Frank Hoogerbeets, known for his earthquake predictions, has been absent from public view for several months, leaving his followers perplexed.

Hoogerbeets gained attention for forecasting seismic activity in the Middle East, including earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria.

He attributed his disappearance to his concerns over the ongoing conflict in Gaza, condemning what he described as genocide committed by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians.

Hoogerbeets stated that continuing earthquake predictions amidst such atrocities serves no purpose, leading him to suspend his services temporarily.

He added a statement on "X" platform "The whole world should stop and demand an end to the mass genocide of the people in Gaza. More than 10,000 civilians have been killed with no end in sight. This is not fighting terrorism. This is terrorism!

There is no point for us in doing earthquake forecasts while this massacre is going on. We try to save lives while people are being killed by the thousands. It doesn't fit and it doesn't feel right.

Therefore, we have decided to stop our services for the time being."

Hoogerbeets' last public statements were made on the "X" platform in early November 2023, where he addressed the situation in Gaza, highlighting the devastating impact of indiscriminate bombings and calling for a ceasefire.

He post that" In 1948 over 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly removed from their land because the Zionist Organization thought they had the right to take this land based on a 2,000 years old claim. Today the world is being forced to face the crime and consequences. Hence the apathy"
