The boss of Sharm el-Sheikh airport has been replaced amid fury from stranded passengers that security workers have been seen playing computer games on their mobile phones.
Frustration has been growing after the Russian Metrojet Airbus A321-200 crashed soon after leaving the Red Sea resort, with all 224 aboard the flight losing their lives.
There are growing fears that the plane was downed by a bomb, leading to Prime Minister David Cameron saying that it is no longer safe to travel to and from the airport.
Abdel-Wahab Ali, who was in charge of the airport, has now been replaced by Emad el-Balasi, a pilot.
Bosses insisted that the move had nothing to do with media scepticism surrounding the airport's security, however passengers have reported that workers have been frustrating them.
British tourist Steve Moncaster told Sky News: "The security staff were not really botherd."
Another, Verna McKeich, said: "I was shocked by the lack of airport security.
"The person manning the scanning machine was playing Candy Crush on his phone.
"Once we were through, my exact words to my husband were that I hoped nobody on our flight has a bomb today.
