It seems a bit ridiculous how women are banned from driving in Saudi Arabia, especially when female activist Lujain Hathlool was arrested Monday on the UAE border for attempting to ride her car.
The ultra-conservative nation is the only country in the world where women are not allowed to drive.
In a series of tweets, the rights activist said: “I have been at the Saudi border for 24 hours. They don’t want to give me my passport nor will they let me pass,” followed by: “Thank God I still have some petrol left.”
C’mon Saudi, get with the times!
