It seems that Samatha Lewthwaite has been a naughty girl.
More commonly known as the "White Widow", Lewthwaite has been caught by British police expressing her love for late Al-Qaeda cheif Osama Bin Laden using the classic medium of love letters, poetry.
29-year old Muslim convert Samantha Lewthwaite is a mother of three and the former wife of Germaine Lindsay, one of the four Islamist suicide bombers responsible for the attack on the London transport network on 7 July 2005, which killed 52 innocent people.
The White Widow is believed to be a key member of the Somalia-based militiant group, Al-Shabab. At the request of Kenya, the interpol has issued a "Red Notice" warrant seeking her detention for alleged involvement in the Nairobi shopping mall siege along with plotting to attack Kenyan tourist resort in 2011.
According to NBC News, the 34-line poem entitled "Ode to Osama" was found by British police investigators on the suspect's computer in her former home in Mombasa, Kenya. In the poem, Samantha proclaims her love for Osama Bin Laden and her hankering for a Muslim victory.
"Oh sheik Osama my father, my brother / My love for you is like no other / Oh Sheik Osama now that you are gone / The muslims must wake up they must be strong," it begins.
“Us we are left to continue what you started,” she wrote to the man who is believed to be the mastermind behind the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks on America. “My love for you is like no other.”
“To seek the victory until we are martyred. To instill [sic] terror into kuffar [non-Muslims] …Your life an example of how we should be.
“Oh Muslims listen to our beloved sheik’s words, Let not his struggle and efforts go unheard, Revive what he started and strive to success, Then maybe we can be raised with the best.
“You picked the wrong army to contest. Al Qaeda are stronger and fiercer than ever. Their [sic] was no victory for you Mr Obama The honour is his on martyred Osama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” the poem concluded.
As female involvement in Islamic fundementalist groups is rather rare, if it exists at all, and the idea of women in power is frowned upon, it leaves one wondering whether Osama would have returned her advances or would have left her pinning with unrequited love.
