The Internal Security Forces arrested four Lebanese nationals for allegedly robbing a home in Mount Lebanon, the agency's media office reported Sunday.
The ISF stated that earlier this week, a Lebanese national had submitted a complaint in which he said that his home in Zouk Mosbeh had been robbed and that the thieves had stolen almost $20,000 worth of jewelry.
Following an investigation, the ISF arrested a food-delivery man identified as A.A., born in 1992, who worked for a restaurant in Dora. The suspect reportedly confessed to having robbed the plaintiff with the help of three friends who worked at the same establishment.
One of the alleged accomplices, a woman identified as R.A., born in 1983, said she had hidden the jewelry in the home of their coworker and accomplice J.Kh., born in 1963, who had then tried to sell it, according to the ISF.
The fourth suspect was identified as S.S., born in 1994.
All of the suspects were subsequently handed over to the competent judiciary, and the stolen jewelry was returned to its rightful owner.
