Despite regional troubles, Lebanon is clearly a dream destination for many travelers.
The stunning Levant country has made it to the Huffington Post's list of "9 Places You Absolutely, Positively Must See Before You Die", coming in at a respectable number six.
Included alongside Bora Bora (which snagged the coveted top spot), London, Denmark, Hawaii and Santorini, Lebanon was the only Middle Eastern country on the list.
Lebanon boasts an incredible history - Roman and Phoenician sites are dotted all over the Mediterranean country alongside its stunning beaches. For the less culturally switched-on, there's always Beirut's legendary - or should we say infamous - nightlife to keep you occupied!
Although Lebanon has been witnessing some tourism troubles due to regional unrest, this Huffington Post list should help boost its reputation!
Last summer, Lebanese newspaper The Daily Star reported that "the number of tourists to Lebanon dropped by 10 percent in the first eight months of 2013 compared to the same period last year, with European visitors topping the list ahead of Arabs for the first time in years. The number of tourists totaled 891,079 compared to 986,649 in 2012, with Europeans accounting for 35 percent of total visitors, followed by Arabs at 30.6 percent."
