Saudi Arabia is among the world's most prolific executioners, and on Tuesday it carried out its first death sentence of 2017, AFP reported.
Authorities executed Mamdouh al-Anzi after being convicted for shooting and killing another Saudi in a dispute, Saudi's Interior Ministry said.
A total of 153 people were executed in Saudi Arabia last year. The most common method of execution is beheading by sword.
In 2015, the Kingdom carried out at least 158 executions, coming in third after Iran and Pakistan, according to Amnesty International.
