The president's daughter, 36, spent the special day in an apple orchard with her family and shared warm greetings on Instagram.
She wrote: 'Happy New Year to Jewish people all over the world. Shana tova u'metuka! #RoshHashanah'.
Her Hebrew message translates to 'Have a good and sweet year'.
In her picture the mother-of-three cuddles her two-year-old son Theodore James as he tries to pry an apple off a tree.
In the photo Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner smile at the camera while wearing rain jackets.
Donald Trump and Melania also shared warm wishes to the Jewish community in a presidential message published Sunday.
'Melania and I wish all Jewish people Shana Tova and send our warmest greetings to those celebrating Rosh Hashanah and the start of the High Holy Days,' his statement said.
