The creators of a controversial TV show that impersonated Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah challenged critics by impersonating March 14 leader Saad Hariri.
LBCI’s satirical show “Basmat Watan” sparked protests by Hezbollah supporters and Tripoli residents over its episode last week satirizing Nasrallah and impersonating the Prophet Jonah.
Friday’s show featured former Prime Minister Saad Hariri in a traditional Gulf dress. Hariri is depicted as a religious conservative who expresses disdain at the show’s female presenter driving a car.
Hariri also breaks into a rapping session that outlines his party’s policies on Syria, Cabinet formation, and his return to Beirut once Bashar Assad’s regime falls.
