"They said his blood pressure could be a problem. Later, he would not produce an ID and almost ran me over as he tried to speed off."
The cop said he tried to stop him to no avail. "I took out my gun and shot at one of his car tyres to force him to stop but he drove away in a dangerous way."
The defendant could not go far and he was stopped by police patrols cars shortly. He hit one of those cars that were surrounding him.
At that point, the accused got out of his car as he held a knife threatening to hurt himself, and then ran towards a hotel, the police officer told the prosecutor.
A Bangladeshi guard at the hotel testified that the accused was seen entering the hotel while holding a knife close to his neck. A police officer was following him. He was already spotted on CCTV trying to hide from the police outside. The man was arrested inside the hotel."
