Natalie Creane was celebrating her engagement with a trip to the Emirates Palace Hotel four years ago when she was struck on the head with a wooden panel and her life was changed forever.
The Dubai resident was putting her shoes away in the hotel wardrobe when the loose panel hit her on the head. Since then she has been diagnosed with Epilepsy and Traumatic Brain Injury.
The case has now gone to court and friends of Natalie have started campaigns for justice on Facebook and Twitter. So far the Emirates hotel chain, owned by a Swiss-German conglomerate are refusing to accept liability.
Meanwhile Creane has slipped into a coma and has blood clots in her lung and leg. The side-effects from the medication she takes for her seizures are also having a serious effect on her liver.
The family has excellent lawyers at their disposal but so far the hotel chain is denying responsibility. The case continues.
