A three-year-old girl's description of her imaginary friend has Twitter convinced she is friends with a ghost.

The description, which appears to have been taken from an article on kids' imaginary friends, went viral after it was shared by Parks and Recreation actress Natalie Morales.

Morales shared Ruby's post, which featured a photo of the three-year-old holding up her drawing of her imaginary friend 'Grateful', alongside the description.

'Her yellow eyelashes mean she can see in the dark — she only comes to see me at night-time,' it read.

'It scares me sometimes, but I always want her to come back. She has two babies in her belly.

'She's 14, but can never have a birthday.

Morales tweeted: 'Ruby, you have a ghost. This is straight up terrifying.'

And Twitter agreed.

The post, which has been retweeted and likes tens of thousands of times, has also attracted hundreds of comments, some from readers as terrified as Morales, and others sharing their own ghostly experiences.
