The value of non-oil Saudi exports in the third quarter of the year 2010 amounted to 30,942 million riyals, up 14% compared to the third quarter of 2009. Meanwhile, Saudi imports increased during the period by 4% to reach 92,675 million riyals.
The figures appear in a bulletin issued by the Department of Statistics and Information.
According to the data, plastic products led the list of exports during the third quarter of 2010. Plastics exports valued at 10,152 million riyals, up 62% compared with the same period of 2009, followed by petrochemicals whose exports amounted to 9586 million riyals, up 32% compared with the same period of 2009.
Saudi exports' main destinations include the UAE, China, Singapore and India.
