DEPE hosts iftar for media at Modhesh World Ramadan Tent

The media centre of Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment, an agency under the Department of Economic Development, hosted an iftar gathering for local media and their families at the Modhesh World Ramadan Tent on Thursday, 11 August. Around 250 people from media and their families, attended the gathering.  

Apart from the iftar offerings, the media were treated to bands playing Islamic songs and children were treated to the numerous entertainment activities at Modhesh World. An exclusive draw was also held for the media with prizes including vouchers being distributed.           

The DEPE media centre stated that the great response to the gathering highlighted the special relationship between the entity and the Media sector as one of its main stakeholders, this solid partnership has contributed significantly in the success of the events and festivals that DEPE has organized in the past years.

The DEPE media centre also added that the iftar gathering at Modhesh World Ramadan Tent gave media and their families an opportunity to explore and experience the many attractions at Modhesh World - both being organized in Ramadan for the first time. 

Operational from 6:30pm to 2am, the Ramadan Tent offers iftar buffet in a nice and homely ambience. Children below three years go in for free. Visitors to the Ramadan Tent can enter Modhesh World for free. Keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, visitors are also treated to Islamic songs and performances.
