The management of Zarcan International Resources has announced that the company's Iranian affiliate Pouya Zarcan Agh Darreh Company (PZA) has completed a heap leach test on gold ores of its proposed mine.
PZA holds the mining license for the Agh Darreh Gold Mine, a 40 square kilometer concession about 420 kilometers outside of Tehran. A 20 ton sample of siliceous ores was crushed to the following size distribution and placed in a five meter high tank column with 11.2 cubic meter capacity.
The ores used in the sample had been assayed by ACME analytical laboratories in Vancouver, Canada, as varying to 3.5 gpt gold. The crushed ores were placed in a tank, wetted with water and NaCN and allowed to leach for 144 days. The gold dissolution curve for cyanide consumption was in the normal range for the ore. Optimum recovery for this crushed ore appears to be 150 days.
At the site, PZA has continued the construction of infrastructure and buildings for the processing plant. Earth moving and leveling of the site is complete, and about 30 percent of the access road has been completed. Likewise, several buildings for warehousing and maintenance facilities are under construction.
Zarcan International Resources is a Canadian mineral exploration company. The company aims to identify low-cost mining projects internationally and acquire advanced stage projects predominantly in the precious and base metal sectors. — (menareport.com)
