Zara announced the opening of its new store in Nanjing, China, aiming to expand internationally. The new store features a cafe and a content creation studio. Notably, the Spanish company has made significant investments in its digital presence to attract more customers amid the push to expand in Asia, particularly in China, and to compete with strong local brands.

The new flagship store is located in Nanjing, covering a total space of about 2,500 sq m and spanning two floors. The store features a private salon shopping experience, a lounge area, and personal changing rooms.

It also includes a content creation studio equipped with multiple cameras, lighting equipment, and devices for shooting photos, videos, and various types of fashion content. Visitors can easily create their own content while visiting the new store and post it directly to their social media channels. However, they must first book their visit through WeChat, the messaging application.

Additionally, the store features Zara's famous cafe, Zacaffe, a specialty coffee shop originally introduced in Spain. This new branch will be the first to open in China.

The company plans to test this exciting new concept and experience in China before expanding to other countries around the world.
