Yemen’s Hodeidah Port received 864,647 tons of goods from January to April

Yemen’s Hodeidah Port received 864,647 tons of goods in the first four months of 2002. Some 14,242 containers were unloaded at the port during the same period compared to 11,451 containers in the first four months of 2001, reported Saba. Customs and tax revenues generated by the port reached 9.8 million Yemeni rials ($56,179) from January to April, compared to YR 8.8 billion during the same period last year. 

 

The port of Hodeidah consists of eight berths to accommodate vessels up to a maximum draft of 9.75 meters. The port provides 11 sheds totaling 21,000 square meters of storage space, one million square meters open storage space and 300,000 square meters of space at the container terminal. — (menareport.com)
