World Bank reviews $2.2 billion loan to Egypt

A delegation representing the World Bank and the African Development Bank is scheduled to visit Egypt next week. The delegation will finalize the necessary procedures for awarding Egypt a $2.2 billion loan, reported Al-Hayat. This loan will be used to bridge the current financing gap and to satisfy the urgent needs of the Egyptian economy. The donor countries promised to offer Egypt a $10.3 billion loan and credit package over the next three years. — (menareport.com)
