Wipro Infotech affirms commitment to Middle East

Wipro Infotech, the Middle East, India and Asia Pacific information technology (IT) division of Wipro has affirmed its commitment to growing its business in the Middle East, stated a press release. 

 

“The Middle East is a critical component of our global expansion strategy, as it is a rapidly growing IT services market. We are committed to building a strong business base here in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar as well as rest of the Middle East, where the IT market is worth an estimated five billion dollars,” said Chairman, Wipro, Azim Premji during his recent visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar. 

 

While Wipro has an office in the Dubai Internet City, the company operates in Saudi Arabia through a partnership with Prince Turki Bin Abdullah Bin Abdulrahman, President of the Dar Al-Riyadh Group. In Qatar, Wipro works in partnership with the ITS Group, headed by Sheikh Ghanim Bin Awaidah Al–Thani.  

 

Having started operations in June 2001, in just under two years, Wipro Infotech has built a strong customer base in the region. The company has operations across the US, Europe, Japan, Asia Pacific, Australia and the Middle East. Many of the Fortune 500 companies are its customers. — (menareport.com)
