Minnesota Middle East Trading (MMETC), a Minneapolis-based private company, will open an office in Amman, Jordan.

Local businessman Odeh Muhawesh, MMETC's President, stated, "In my 20 years of doing business in Minnesota, I have never seen such a golden opportunity for Minnesota Companies to succeed in the Middle East." According to Muhawesh, who is a Jordanian-born business leader, all of the ingredients are right for Minnesota Companies to establish themselves in the Middle East due to the unprecedented commitment by the Jordanian government to re- establish itself as the trading hub for the Middle East.

Free trade already exists between Jordan and the United States and now Jordan, in turn, set up a Free Trade Zone for business in Iraq. There are close cultural and historical ties between the Jordanian and Iraqi people and Jordan is increasingly viewed as the most stable, trade-friendly country strategically located to serve Iraq and the surrounding countries.

The Jordanian base and its giant next-door neighbor seeking goods and services are increasingly considered as the new Middle Eastern fast track development opportunities in view of the bottom-up rebuilding process currently underway.

MMETC specializes in business and corporate development in Iraq. MMETC has combined culture and skill to expand Minnesota Businesses throughout the Middle East. — (menareport.com)
