Gulf Business Machines (GBM), sole distributor for IBM Products and services in the Gulf countries excluding Saudi Arabia, has facilitated the business expansion plans of Group Seven/ZAMA Trading Company.

The franchisee for a number of famous fashion brands, including Zara, Virgin Megastore, Pull & Bear fashion wear and Oysho lingerie, is now placed to expand its operations in its markets throughout the region following the update of its retail IT infrastructure.

The solution deployed by GBM and Khorafi Business Machines (KBM), GBM's operation in Kuwait, includes a number of IBM POS 700 and IBM POS 200 (4694) machines, an IBM eServer xSeries as well as IBM PCs and networking components from Business Partner Cisco Systems. In addition, it includes the installation of Symbol scanners.

GBM / KBM installed the IBM, Cisco and Symbol hardware products including the Group's in-house applications of Zara and Virgin Megastore as well as at the other outlets that are now using the Group's IT applications through the IBM POS machines. — (menareport.com)
