ALBAWABA - UAE authorities suddenly announced suspended all visa services for Jordanians who were willing to visit and rejected all applications, Roya News reported on Tuesday.
The Jordanian website also detailed that it got many complaints about the sudden halt in visa services by the UAE without a specific reason or clarification from authorities.
According to Jordanian travel and tourism companies in Jordan have apologized to their clients over the issue.
A source told Roya News that UAE authorities suddenly stopped granting visas to Jordanians without officially stating the reasons.
However, the source further noted that the UAE justified the halt of granting visas for Jordanians due to a system error, but clarification is expected to be made by the GCC country.
In turn, tourism offices in Jordan made a statement: "We would like to inform you that all applications for a UAE visa for Jordanian citizens are currently being rejected. We are awaiting further clarification from the Immigration Department in the United Arab Emirates regarding this matter."
On the other hand, many social media users reportedly said the stop was due to a technical issue in the system and confirmed that now everything is back to normal.
