The Abu Dhabi government in collaboration with the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), a leading research organization that focuses on developing cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world problems, has released the Falcon Arabic artificial intelligence (AI) model.

According to officials, Falcon matches the performance of models up to ten times its size and outperforms comparable models developed by Meta and Alibaba.

Notably, Falcon Arabic was trained on a diverse range of standard and regional Arabic dialects. The model matches the performance of global models up to ten times its size.

It is worth mentioning that the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) previously launched Falcon H1, a smaller model that outperforms similarly sized offerings from Meta and Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.

With this recent launch, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is positioning itself as a competitor to major international tech companies, both regionally and globally, while also working to preserve the Arabic language and advance its artificial intelligence (AI) models and solutions.
