ALBAWABA - Space42, a UAE-based, AI-powered SpaceTech company that seamlessly integrates satellite communications, geospatial insights, and artificial intelligence capabilities for customers globally, announced signing a $5.06 billion (Dh18.7 billion) deal with the UAE government.
Space42 to provide services to UAE government
Space42 will provide the UAE government until 2043. The AI-powered company announced signing a new contract recently with SpaceX to build and launch satellites into orbit.
Ali Al Hashemi, CEO of Yahsat Space Services, Space42 said: “We are delighted to sign this contract with the UAE Government, which underscores the ongoing trust in Space42’s solutions. The Al Yah 4 and Al Yah 5 satellites will offer new capabilities to advance our technology and service offerings, enabling us to continue providing our innovative SpaceTech solutions that meet the UAE Government’s evolving requirements more efficiently, securely and reliably.”

As per the deal, Space42 will provide diverse services including, secure and reliable satellite capacity and related managed services with Al Yah 1 and Al Yah 2 satellites. Additionally, the company will provide two more satellites Al Yah 4 and Al Yah 5, launching in 2027 and 2028.
The new satellites will ensure secure government communications throughout the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia.
