ALBAWABA – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has unveiled its first artificial intelligence (AI) employee, which has effectively replaced around 100 jobs and helped reduce costs by approximately $100,000.

CozmoX, a UAE-based artificial intelligence (AI) startup, provides AI employees powered by advanced voice technology that enables natural, human-like conversations. The company said its AI employee was launched about five months ago.

According to CozmoX, the AI employee has been adopted by around 50 companies so far and was developed to serve a range of business needs. The company also stated that its AI employees can perform the work of nearly 100 people and have helped reduce overall costs by approximately $100,000.

Nuha Hashem, co-founder of CozmoX, stated that the company’s AI employees are capable of accomplishing multiple tasks including customer service, sales, debt collection, audits, and filing invoices.

“In less than one day, based on the last 10 years of data, we could create an AI employee who can actually do the work of 100 people so those people can focus on productive work. For example, to make 10,000 calls per day, companies need to hire a large number of employees. But they can do that with just one AI employee. We have done this with some large-scale public sector entities,” Hashem said.

As many people are losing their jobs due to the rapid rise and innovation in the AI field, CozmoX affirmed that AI employees are essential. The company emphasized that human workers can then focus more on tasks that require human-to-human interaction, emotional intelligence, and intellectual capabilities.
