Recently published statistics revealed that Tunisian exports totaled TD 7,989 million and imports totaled TD 11,505 million by the end of the first 10 months of 2001. These figures translate into a TD 365 million foreign trade deficit during the same period, Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported.
Tunisian exports grew to TD 7,989 million during the first 10 months of the present year, up from TD 6,611 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. These figures translate into a 20 percent growth. The growth covered all export sectors excluding the energy sector.
