Tunisair announced the suspension of all its flights on Thursday following a fight between pilots and technicians.

According to AFP, the airline apologized to passengers, saying the decision was for “safety measures.”

The fight comes in after weeks of tensions between staff over “uniforms.” Mechanics also reportedly held a recent sit-in to denounce their treatment by pilots of the airline.

AFP reported that police reinforcements and a crisis cell, including the transport minister, were sent to the airport to resolve the situation.

The incident comes at a time when Tunisia’s tourism sector has taken a hard hit, especially after the Bardo Museum and Sousse attacks two years ago, which could drive even more tourists away.
