ALBAWABA - As leading automakers like Mercedes, BMW, and Tesla steadily increase electric vehicle (EV) ranges, Toyota, renowned for its hybrid lineup, joins the race for longer-lasting EV batteries.

Toyota, long-established as a producer of hybrid vehicles, is now aligning itself with automakers pursuing extended battery life for electric vehicles (EVs).

In a landmark technological announcement, Toyota claims to have unveiled a game-changing solution poised to "reshape the future of automobiles." Their innovation targets an impressive EV range of 1,000 kilometers (approximately 621 miles) achievable on a single charge.

Journey to 1000 km: Toyota's audacious objective hinges on the fusion of "next-generation batteries and cutting-edge sonic technology."

The automaker is charting a course to roll out a comprehensive range of EV models, commencing at an affordable $42,000, by the year 2026. Concurrently, they intend to introduce a "next-generation" EV under their luxury brand, Lexus, within the same timeframe.

By March, nearly half of the company's research and development resources and personnel had been channeled into Advanced Development endeavors. In May, Toyota inaugurated the BEV Factory, a specialized facility dedicated to advancing battery-electric vehicle (BEV) technology.

Notably, they adopted the utilization of giga casting, initially popularized by Tesla, to forge larger auto components through high-pressure aluminum die-casting. Remarkably, the car's frame will be fabricated using just three pieces.
