Middle East magazine publisher ITP is to launch Time Out Dubai in September this year, bringing a new and vibrant listings and entertainment magazine to the region's most popular tourism, leisure and business travel destination.
The 144-page monthly magazine will launch with a print run of 35,000 copies and will be focused on Dubai distribution, with additional copies delivered throughout the UAE, the Middle East and other key global destinations.
"Time Out is a great magazine that has become an integral part of peoples' lifestyles in London and New York," said publisher Walid Akawi. "Our aim is to deliver a magazine that defines Dubai in the same way, and serves visitors and residents alike with an interesting, relevant and easy to use guide to the leisure and entertainment options in our city."
Dubai's fast-growing leisure and tourism market accounted for some 24 percent of the Emirate’s GDP in 1998 and saw almost six million visitors last year. Widely regarded as a major global leisure destination, Dubai's hotel, tourism and entertainment markets are growing fast, with events such as the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) and Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) helping to drive tourism.
ITP is a leading Middle East magazine publisher of business, technology and consumer electronics magazines, and one of the first companies to join the Dubai Media City (DMC) initiative. The company produces over 20 magazines serving the Middle East region, in both English and Arabic, from its UAE base. ITP has offices in Dubai Media City, the UK and Cairo, Egypt. ― (MENA Report)
