ALBAWABA -  In a move prioritizing safety, Tesla is initiating a recall for almost all vehicles sold in the United States, totaling around 2.2 million.

The reason behind the recall is the diminutive size of specific warning lights on the dashboard. According to documents shared by US safety regulators, the remedy will come through an online software update.

Affected by this recall are models that include the 2012-2023 Model S, 2016-2023 Model X, 2017-2023 Model 3, 2019-2024 Model Y, and the 2024 Cybertruck. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) highlights that the font size of crucial warning lights related to brakes, parking, and non-locking brakes falls below the federal safety standards.

This design glitch could pose challenges in reading essential safety information, potentially heightening the risk of accidents. Tesla has swiftly initiated the recall process, planning to inform vehicle owners via mailed notifications starting March 30th, coinciding with the rollout of the software update.

The NHTSA identified this issue during a routine safety compliance audit on January 8th. Importantly, Tesla has not received any reports of accidents or injuries associated with this particular problem. Keep an eye out for ongoing updates as Tesla works towards enhancing safety through this software update. #TeslaSafety #VehicleRecall #DriveSmart
