Tasjeel, the vehicle test and registration network operated by Emirates Petroleum Products Company (EPPCO) in tandem with Dubai Police, has introduced a new mobile vehicle inspection system, the first of its kind in the Middle East, according to a company press release.

The one million Emirati dirham ($270,000) Roller Brake Tester (RBT), equipped with two laptops, card and registration form printers, can conduct 20 daily tests and is able to handle heavy vehicle fleet operators.

In Tasjeel, EPPCO staff carries out vehicle testing and document typing. Dubai Police provides registration services. EPPCO is a subsidiary of the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC).

The Australian-manufactured RBT was imported to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by Al-Futtaim Motors. It has a suspension-testing device attached to it, used for inspecting steering and suspension pins and couplings. — (menareport.com)
