The United Arab Emirates (UAE) National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia) has announced that it will expand its operations to Ajman with the launch of a new office in the Emirate.
Tanmia's network of offices currently extends to Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah. The Ajman office will be headed by Abdul Aziz Al-Noaimi, Acting Manager, Ajman Tanmia.
Tanmia was established in 1999 to address the imbalance in the labor market, due to excessive dependence on an expatriate workforce. Tanmia is engaged in a coordinating role, between national job seekers and employers in the private and government sectors, to facilitate increased entry of nationals in the labor market.
The responsibilities that rest with the Authority are the setting up the overall policy of the Authority and supervise its implementation, conduct sustained operational and administrative labor market studies and analysis, provide career counseling and guidance to the national work force. — (menareport.com)
