Over 36,000 hectares of woodlands are currently growing in Syria’s Haska district, according to Al-Baath daily. On average, approximately 3,000 hectares are reclaimed and planted with trees in this district yearly. This year, some 4,100 hectares was reclaimed for tree farming.
