Norway’s Statoil has offered advice on rebuilding the Iraqi oil industry in a letter addressed to the country's oil ministry. The offer covers organizational and technical support as opposed to specific collaboration projects, stated a press release.

Should a positive response be received, Statoil requests Iraqi oil officials to identify areas in which assistance is required. According to the company, preliminary assistance could lead to long term direct involvement in exploration and production operations in the future. — (menareport.com)
