Slovakian Foreign Affairs Minister Eduard Kukan visited Rabat in mid-December, where he held talks with his Moroccan counterpart, Mohamed Benaissa. At a press conference held December 18, the two men pledged to increase bilateral cooperation, particularly in the trade and economics spheres.
The two ministers also agreed that teams of specialists would be created to examine specific areas of bilateral cooperation. A group of Moroccan business executives was invited to Slovakia, following the visit to Morocco by a group of Slovak business executives, earlier in November.
During the visit, Kukan issued a reciprocal invitation Benaissa to visit Slovakia. That, sources say, is likely to take place during 2001. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
