Music group Simply Red will entertain Dubai on September 10, as Siemens Mobile became the key sponsor for the group’s one-off concert in the city. This will be the first international concert this year in Dubai, where the first half of the year was marred by the war in Iraq, said Managing Director of the Dubai-based Talent Brokers, Padma Coram.
The event will form the only Middle Eastern show in the second leg of the band’s World Tour to support their new album “Home”. The Dubai date will see Simply Red perform at the West Hall of the Airport Expo.
Siemens mobile’s partnership with the event comes as the company extends its sponsorship of live entertainment events in the region. The My-Siemens themed parties for instance, have become a significant part of Dubai’s entertainment scene.
The concert is also supported by Avis, The Fairmont Dubai, Artes, Dubai FM92, What’s On, Gulf News, Spinney’s and Giordano and Pepsi. — (menareport.com)
