The associates of Starwood Hotels and Resorts will be organizing sports-related activities this summer to celebrate having raised $10 million for Unicef (United Nations Children’s Fund) through the Check Out for Children fundraising initiative.
The Check Out for Children Challenge – a one-off campaign to mark this milestone is aiming to raise enough money to fund a National Immunisation Day (NID) in Gabon when every child between nine months and 14 years will be immunised against measles.
In the framework of the campaign, Qatar's Sheraton Doha is organizing an Olympic Triathlon, comprising three fundraising sports tournaments: Golf Challenge - on June 4; Indoor Tennis Challenge - on July 1 and Squash Challenge - on July 15. (menareport.com)
