Let it snow! Get ready to experience snow through out the year in Saudi Arabia as the country gets ready to launch its new Snow City.

The first Snow City in Saudi Arabia is set to be launched in Riyadh on Wednesday. The new facility at Al-Othaim Mall Rabwa will have a year-round temperature of -3 degrees.

That's not all, it will feature a panoramic suspension bridge, ice bumper cars, sledge and ski zone, rope courses, climbing wall, snow mobiles among its attractions, according to Al-Othaim Leisure and Tourism Company.

The park cost SR100 million and has been built over 5000 square metres with an hourly capacity of 350 people.

Snow-themed attractions have proved popular in the region, with the most popular ones right here in the United Arab Emirates including Ski Dubai at Dubai's Mall of the Emirates and an Ice Rink at Dubai Mall.

The last time it snowed in Saudi was in January this year when an unusual cold spell saw the northern regions blanketed in snow.

Pictures of snow-covered camels and sand dunes started appearing in social media  and initially many brushed them off as doctored images.
