Saudi Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal Bin AbdulAziz Al-Saud, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, received in his office in Riyadh the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mali to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Nakounte Diakite.

Ambassador Diakite’s visit follows up on discussions held last November between the Prince and CEO of the Children’s Foundation in Mali, Dramane Outtara. Ottara had presented Prince Al-Waleed with a letter from the First Lady of Mali in which she thanked him for his visit to the republic and requested support for the Children’s Foundation there, which cares for children and mothers, offering educational programs and extending medical attention.

In response to the First Lady’s request, Prince Al-Waleed pledged a $250,000 donation to the Children’s Foundation in Mali. He asked Ambassador Diakite to assure the First Lady that a special delegate will soon travel to Mali to present the donation.

Ambassador Diakite thanked Prince Al-Waleed for his donation and for receiving him, reiterating the Malian government’s appreciation for his memorable and historical visit to their country and invited HRH to re-visit. Diakite conveyed the Malian people’s high regard for His Highness adding that his commitment to support the Malian economy is highly appreciated. Prince Al-Waleed promised to visit Mali in the near future. — (menareport.com)
