Former US President Bill Clinton hosted Saudi Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal at his Harlem office in New York city over a working luncheon covering politics and humanitarian efforts.

Prince Alwaleed said the discussion was very candid and both sides offered their views vis-à-vis the latest developments in the Middle East and US-Arab relations, particularly the US-Saudi component.

The Prince briefed Clinton on his initiative to rekindle East-West relations, including launching academic programs in universities across the Atlantic to that end. President Clinton talked about his HIV fighting efforts, which currently cover Africa and the Caribbean. India and China are targets for the program which expects to save one million lives over the next five years.

The meeting is Al-Waleed’s fourth with the former President. Clinton had received the Prince while in office, and two more meetings in Cairo and Jeddah preceded the Harlem office luncheon. — (menareport.com)
