Saudi Airlines has shipped over 1,000 tons of locally grown flowers and vegetables during the first half of 2001. Most shipments took off from Tabuk region and were destined to local as well as international markets in the Arabian Gulf, the Middle East and Europe.
According to Al Sharq Al-Awsat, Abdullah Ruzaiq, a representative of the Saudi Airlines in Tabuk, said that his corporation provided special refrigerated containers for these shipments. The company offers special discounts to encourage national agricultural export. — (Mena Report)
