The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) Western region allocated $22 million to supply electricity to a number of villages in the districts of Al-Layth and Khalis in southwestern Saudi Arabia, reported Al-Hayat.
The Director General of the Electricity Company in the western region, Foaud Al-Shareiby, said that the new project aims to provide electricity to 3,600 new customers in 234 villages in the Layth district and 13 villages in Khalis district.
SEC in the Western region of Saudi Arabia was established in 1981 with a capital of eight billion Saudi riyals ($2.1 billion). The concession area for the company is approximately 32,000 square kilometers and provides electricity to 495 cities, villages and settlements and has a customer base of 1.2 million. — (menareport.com)
