People from Arabic speaking countries will now be able to gain free access through the Internet to one of the first websites in Arabic language dedicated to health. They will benefit from an initiative launched by the Middle East division of Hoffmann-La Roche, one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies.

Roche General Manager Ekkehard Betsch described the initiative as "a major step taken towards reducing the health information gap between awareness, prevention and treatment in the Arab world".

"This website addresses patients, physicians, pharmacists, nurses and all others who would like to know about our products. It reflects our commitment to contribute to improving health and quality of life in the Arab world,” Betsch said.

“We currently focus on the following areas in which we provide a large range of therapeutic options: anaemia, dermatology, infectious diseases, metabolic disorders and obesity, transplantation, and virology". — (menareport.com)
