ALBAWABA – Robots stormed an American football match between the Los Angeles Chargers and Miami Dolphins and sent a number of fans and spectators on a frightened spree as they posted videos and pictures of the incident, news agencies reported Saturday.
During the match that was held last week, several fans filmed “robots” resembling humans, with electrical connections, wandering suspiciously inside the corridors of the stadium and in the stands.
While some thought that these robots were, in fact, humans dressed as “robots,” it turned out that they were real “robots,” designed to storm the stadium and rattle the crowds.
It was later revealed that these robots are part of a promotional campaign for a soon-to-be-released movie, and are characters from the movie, according to Sky News Arabia.
The new film is The Creator, and is a film about a war between humans and AI machines, or robots.
Sending out robots among the crowd was part of a marketing campaign for the film, and it actually succeeded in raising questions about them and the upcoming film. Many social media users and outelts have shared footage of the incident, reflecting the success of the campaign.
