Following changes in travel advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to British nationals traveling to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan, British Airways is making adjustments to its schedule for the whole of the Gulf region.
The change in schedule is part of a carefully planned series of measures that will allow the airline to maintain a smooth and safe operation to the region. Flights to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait, Muscat and Riyadh will now operate via Larnaca in Cyprus. Services to Kuwait and Abu Dhabi services will be combined. Flights will operate from London-Larnaca-Abu Dhabi-Kuwait-Larnaca-London.
Services to Doha and Bahrain will continue to be combined and will operate from London-Larnaca-Doha-Bahrain-London. Flights to Dubai will be reduced from two per day to a daily service. The daily Muscat flight has been suspended until further notice.
Flights will be timed to land at London's Heathrow airport as close to the original schedule as possible to ensure that disruption to customers is kept to a minimum. — (menareport.com)
