Paris-Ile de France Capitale Economique, a non-profit organization created by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will host its “Advantage Greater Paris: New Opportunities in Finance & Real Estate” seminar at the Palace of the One & Only Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai on 19 March 2005.

The event showcases the assets of Greater Paris, which is fast developing as a strategic centre for international investors. In fact Greater Paris declared a GDP of 430 billion euros and is hence ranked first among European capitals and ahead of states such as Belgium and Denmark.

Thierry Jacquillat, chairman of Paris-Ile de France Capitale Economique (PIDFCE) will talk about new measures taken by the French government to attract international investors in 2005. “Greater Paris is on the move: a successful alliance of past and future with new constructions of buildings in la Défense, historical heritage mansions and state buildings will soon be available on the market,” he said. "Greater Paris is the 1st location in Europe for the top 500 worldwide companies and we look forward to welcoming more of the international business community to Paris”.

Through its network of prestigious partners and members PIDFCE enables multinational corporations and foreign investors to benefit from the close links between French companies and local governments.

Advantage Greater Paris will offer businessmen in the Middle East an opportunity to invest and partner in the second largest real estate market in the world after Tokyo, and will feature short presentations by a delegation of top French representatives in the field of real estate and finance. These include CEOs from AFG (the French Asset Management Association), Mazars, Paris Europlace, Gide Loyrette Nouel, Jones Lang LaSalle and the Concorde Hotels Group.

This is the second such event hosted by PIDFCE in Dubai. Select Businessmen including political and economic decision makers will participate in the Panel discussion on investment opportunities in Europe.
