Canada’s Rally Energy has selected the first 11 drilling locations of the proposed 34 well program in Egypt. Three surface locations have been prepared and the Egyptian Chinese Drilling Company drilling rig contracted for this work is expected to be on location within two weeks.
The initial drilling will target step-out and infill wells in the Nukhul formation based on the interpretation of an 80 square kilometer 3-D seismic program over the field.
In November, Rally Energy commenced a four well 2002 development drilling program in the Issaran oilfield. This program is designed to increase production, prove up additional reserves and test improved drilling and completion techniques. Three wells, designated as No. 19, No. 20 and No. 22, have been drilled and completed and a fourth well, No. 21, is currently drilling. — (menareport.com)
